Ellen has been working with international students for the past 20 years, both in Career Development, Co-op, and International Co-op. As an International Co-op Advisor, Ellen taught a three credit course, Working in the U.S., specifically to help prepare international students for the U.S. workplace. While in International Co-op she also partnered with employers and co-op faculty related to international student success. At Northeastern University, Ellen oversees the international student service area within Career Development ranging from programming to web resources. In 2014, the Education Advisory Board in Washington, D.C., in researching career development best practices for international students, recognized Ellen and the Northeastern University Career Development Department for the International Student Forum for the U.S. Job Search, a best practice in programming, as well as for their web page resources for international students. Ellen has presented on international students at the national CEIA conference and at NEACEFE, the New England Association of Cooperative Education and Field Experience, as well as at CRMA. Ellen received her Master's Degree in College Student Development and Counseling from Northeastern University.
